Recycling your laptop/computer is one of the most important aspects of the directive as:

• Systems contain toxic materials & substances deemed unsuitable for landfill.
• The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) has been brought it to tackle landfill pollution.
• Computer system recycling is the dismantling and/or raw material recycling of laptop parts. Nothing goes to landfill and nothing is incinerated in the process.

At Recycle Your Tec, unwanted systems will be carefully & properly recycled, without the need to worry about pollution and permanent environmental damage. In most cases the items are reused by giving them a new home, we also may strip the item down & it’s working parts used to repair other systems.

The only way to permanently destroy data, without physically destroying hard disks is by overwriting the data through generating and recording random characters across the entire surface of the data retaining component/drive, resulting in all data being destroyed and file sizes reset to zero. Recycle Your Tec only use the latest methods & versions of industry-standard software (White Canyon) to ensure complete data sanitization on all devices which we process, giving you peace of mind that your data is safe in our hands.

Data Crushing

For organisations requiring high-security IT disposals, Recycle Your Tec can offer hard drive destruction using our crushing machine which meets all applicable high standards. The unit is specially designed for hard drive destruction & is one of the most commonly used machines in the computer recycling/data destruction industry. The device pierces through the hard disks spindles & physically creates ripples in the platters making it impossible to recover the data.

Business Recycling.

Recycle Your Tec is an established IT recycling/data destruction organisation & while we love to support individuals with their technology recycling, we also support businesses & charities nationwide.
We offer completive services to ANY business, no matter the size or volume you are looking to recycle, we do charge a small fee to business for recycling with us ( £100 + VAT ) this is the cover the cost of transportation to and from your place of business ( if using one of our van or authorised partners )
If you are looking to recycle a small amount which can fit into small boxes, then we would be happy to provide FREE UPS collection from your door or chosen collection location.
